Thank You Gifts

This was a really fun project I did with the scallop tag punch, envelope punch board, and BigZ Flower Dies! It made a really nice gift for my daughter's preschool teachers at the end of the year. I put 4 cards in each box along with a Bath and Body Works gift card. They absolutely loved them!

Father's Day Card

The kids and I made a card for Dad this year! I took a piece of multi-media vellum and let my two year old water color all over it using my Stampin Up Aqua Painter. If you pinch your ink pad together with both hands while shut, then when you open it there will be ink on the back of the cover. You can use this ink with the aqua painter to watercolor with. It is very easy! Even a two year old can paint with the aqua painter! Then I let my two year old use finger paint to imprint her hand and I also imprinted my 6 month old's hand as well. I then used this paper like I would Designer Series Paper to make this handsome Father's Day card.

Mothers Day Card for 2014

One of the first flowers my mother shared with me to create my first garden was black-eyed susans. I thought it would be fitting to represent this flower on her card as a thank you for sparking one of my fondest passions in life; flowers and gardening. This card has a minimalistic style, but is yet rather striking and dramatic like black-eyed susan flowers are in the landscape.

My Mother loves black and white designs as well as textured embossing. I not only used the fancy fan texture in the large white area of this card, but I also used the square lattice texture for the center of the flower to give it a more life like look. (Pictures really don't do these textures justice.) The square lattice embossing folder is one of my favorite textured impressions because it is so versatile and it is being discontinued. Happy Birthday to a Fabulous Friend!

I have had a fabulous friend whom I have been friends with since kindergarten! Her Birthday was coming up and I wanted to make her a fabulous "girlie" card. Easter Bunny Basket

This Easter bunny basket was super fun and easy to make thanks to the new envelope punch board! It will be much more difficult to keep it away from my 2 year old daughter (at least until the Friday night stamp party) than it was to make it!

Third card for the Spring Stamp Camp

    Happy Watercolor Stamp Set

    Tonight I made the third card that we will be making in our Spring Stamp Camp! I have been stamping with my new stamp set called "Happy Watercolor." I absolutely love the flowers in this set especially the orchid. The details in this orchid are absolutely fabulous! This orchid stamp is as beautiful as the unique and exotic orchid flower itself, and I'm pretty critical of flowers being a horticulturalist and landscape designer. The detail in the other flower stamp in this set, the Poppy flower, is also gorgeous, but I'm a sucker for Orchids every time!
     This card can be made with either greeting in the set, "Thank you," or "You make me Happy." It can also be made with one of two color schemes, Strawberry Slush and Silver (as shown), or Coastal Cabana and Gold. Both of these color combinations are absolutely stunning together! All three cards we will be making are very versatile and there are several choices for you to choose from. You can follow my templates or make them your own, your choice!

Spring stamp class is March 15th!

We are making 12 spring cards for class. There are three designs so we will make four of each design. Here are two of the designs...

Spring Tri-fold Card

This spring tri-fold card can be used for any occasion! The beautiful spiral 3D flower does not allow it to fit in an envelope, but I like giving it in a hand made box and it is like giving a present. You can also hand deliver it or put it on the top of a gift bag with the tissue paper.

Easter Card

When I think of Easter I always think of purple and yellow so I knew I would be using Purple and Yellow for my Easter cards. However, the Calypso Coral really makes it all POP beautifully! There are three different Easter stamps in the Eggstra Spectacular Stamp Set that you can choose from with this card template. The lined envelopes are like icing on the cake and who doesn't like icing!
